dc.description.abstract | The focus of this study was to investigate the students' Writing Ability of Descriptive Text at SMPN 1 Bondowoso in the 2014/2015 Academic Year. The research design was a Descriptive study. The population of this research was the Seventh Grade Students at SMPN 1 Bondowoso in the 2014/2015 Academic Year. The data were collected by conducting a writing test. The students’ scores of the test were analyzed by applying Inter-rater Scoring. The result of the data analysis showed that the students' mean score in writing descriptive text was 64 who was categorized as fair . Furthermore, the aspect of writing which performed poorly was grammar. In conclusion, there was 1 student who was categorized as excellent, 9 students were categorized as good, 15 students were categorized as fair, and 5 students were categorizd as poor. | en_US |
