HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DALAM PERAWATAN KESEHATAN ANGGOTA KELUARGA DENGAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN PENULARAN OLEH KLIEN TB PARU DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PATRANG KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Pulmonary TB caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pulmonary TB is one of infectious diseases which is still as public health problem. The mortality and morbidity of TB increase continuously every year. The support of family is the most important element in helping individuals resolve problems. Family support will increase the confidence and motivation of pulmonary TB patients in behave to prevent pulmonary TB between family support in caring TB patients and behavioral prevention of pulmonary TB. This research tends to analyze the relationship support families in the care of family health behavior prevention of pulmonary TB transmission patients in work area of Patrang community health center at Jember regency. This research was an observational approach using cross sectional. The population was all positive pulmonary TB patients in work area of Patrang community health center at Jember regency as many as 15 people. Sampling technique used total sampling. The data were analyzed by chisquare (α = 0,05). The result showed that of 9 patients (60%) who got good family support, there are 7 patients (46,7%) were well behaved in the prevention of pulmonary TB transmission and 2 patients (13,3%) were behaving less in the prevention of pulmonary TB transmission. Futher more, (p value = 0,041, OR = 17,5) which means there is a significant correlation between family support in health care family members and behavioral prevention pulmonary TB transmission patients in work area of Patrang community health center at Jember regency. The conclusion is family support play an important role to care patients to help them in manage their health. The better family support is given, the better behavior prevention of pulmonary TB transmission
