Physiologically elderly decline in cognitive function that is irreversible, this condition is caused by the aging process and degenerative changes may be progressive. Memory care promotion can be used in adolescents and adults, however, used to increase elderly memory still need explanation. The research aims of improving memory using memory care promotion. Type of research is quasi-experimental, two group pre-post treatment design with simple random sampling. Sample size 30 respondents in the treatment and control group. Criteria included age 60-80 years, can be measured of cognitive function, have a level cognitive functions mild to moderate, can communicate well, willing to respondents. The instrument uses memory care promotion module and increase cognitive function instrument, statistical analysis test using Wilcoxon signed rank test with a significance level of ρ<0.05 and Mann Whitney test with a significance level of ρ<0.05. The result showed there are differences in orientation levels (ρ<0.003), there was no difference in registration levels (ρ<1.000), there are differences in attention and calculation levels (ρ<0.039), there are differences in recall levels (ρ<0.046), there are differences in language levels (ρ<0.035), there are differences in the cognitive function (ρ<0.001), and there are differences in the cognitive function treatment group and the control group (ρ<0.002). Conclusion that memory care promotion using the theory of therapeutic nurse-patient relationship and functional consequences theory can significantly improve elderly memory. Suggestion that used memory care promotion needs the cooperation and active participation of all parties.en_US
