dc.description.abstract | Corrosion is one serious problems that result in the loss in terms of the financing in industrial production activity, the corrosions can be the one failure in a process. So required a inhibitor corrosion that can Reduce the rate of corrosion specimens steel. In this research is using coffee extracts organic compounds as corrosions inhibitor. It can be used as corrosions inhibitor because they are have a free electron couples containing nitrogen. Testing rate of corrosion made in sea-water media with variation coffee extracts concentration 0, 1000, 3000 and 5000 ppm for knowing corrosion rate and the optimum concentration of coffee extract in inhibitions of corrosion rate with type of corrosion on carbon steel pipe A53 is material much used in the system of distilling sea water pipe. The result of this research show about the better consentrations for hamper the corrosion in 3000 ppm with the inhibition is 70,79 % and that corrosion happen is surface corrosion. | en_US |
