dc.description.abstractThis research aimed to determine the United Nations efforts in conflict resolution of Blood Diamond in Sierra Leone in 1991-2002. The research used qualitative research type. The research methods used data collection and data analysis methods. The results showed that various efforts had been made as the conflict resolution to stop the conflicts caused by te seizure of diamonds and efforts to achieve peace. Many parties were involved in the resolution of this conflict, either from internal or external parties of Sierra Leone. However, the most instrumental party in the resolution of Blood Diamond conflict was the United Nations as an international organization. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the United Nations made the conflict resolution efforts in Sierra Leone through three stages: Peacekeeping, Peacebuilding and Peacemaking and eventually the conflict could be resolved and achieved peace in 2002.en_US
