The emergence of the idea of separatism could lead to a disintegration of the nation. Disintegration literally be understood as a nation split into parts that are mutually exclusive. Under these conditions the state has failed to protect and preserve the integrity of the nation. The disintegration of the nation as it also happened in the country of Sudan. Sudan in its history has undergone a national disintegration. Disintegration that occurs in Sudan due to the emergence of separatist movements Sudan's People Liberation Army (SPLA) in 1983. The SPLA separatist movement led by John Garang De Mabior as a form of resistance against the discontent toward discrimination conducted by the Central Government of Sudan. In its action, the SPLA also get support from outside parties, among which are Israel and the United States through Ethiopia. Since the founding of SPLA in 1983, Ethiopia has contributed a lot to the provision of arms and military training to members of the SPLA, thus affecting the dynamics of the civil war that occurred between northern Sudan and southern Sudan. The conflict between the Central Government of Sudan and the SPLA separatist movement finally brought to a stop after reaching agreement on Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) in Naivasha, Kenya, in 2005.en_US
