Air pollution is mainly caused by a relatively dense industrial area, where the gases from the industry are usually caused by coal fuel that causes excessive emissions, so that the level of air quality increasingly declines. The increase makes China the biggest source of SO2 gas pollution after the United States. Massive coal-burning made by China also makes China be a number 1 of the 20 countries that produce mercury pollutants by 25%. Therefore, in 2005, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) under Kyoto Protocol becomes a new market based on mechanism to mark the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). The Chinese government is committed to encouraging the development of clean technology, which will help to improve the quality of life of the citizens and reduce GHG emissions by encouraging investment and simulation technology of low carbon technology transferen_US
