dc.description.abstractThis research aimed to identify the levels of impacts of Indonesia participation in IOTC, sepecially dealing with the economic-politic impacts. The research used qualitative type, and data used were secondary data from the Internet, journals and news, which were analyzed by descriptive analysis. Data gathered were focused substantially in economic review since the it analyzed the economic-politic impacts after Indonesia joined IOTC. The results showed that Indonesia gained economic-politic impacts. The political impacts obtained are: the increase in coverage area, the ships listed in IOTC, the embargo imposed for Indonesian Tuna fish was put off, the increase in Indonesia’s bargaining power in IOTC, and finally the adjustment of national law system in accordance with IOTC agreement. Meanwhile, the economic impacts that Indonesia gained are the increase in Tuna fish catching and production and revenue form Indonesian Tunaen_US
