Abstract: An inclusive school, SMP (Junior High School) Taman Pendidikan dan Asuhan, Jember Regency, is the only junior high school which organizes inclusive education in Jember. In this school, there are students with disability and non-disabled students who coexist in the classroom. This research describes the process of social adaptation of blind students with non-disabled students in the school environment.The research used qualitative research approach with case study as the research approach. The research location was at SMP Inklusi TPA Jember, located at Jalan Jawa No. 57 Sumbersari, Jember Regency. Data collection used non-participant observation method. Steps to data analysis involved data collection, data transcription, coding, data categorization, temporary conclusion, triangulation, final conclusion. Validity of data used triangulation of source. This article discusses the process of students adaptation especially blind students and non-disabled students in relation to the process of social adaptation to overcome barriers in the environment is by good communication; in fact, it is the way to overcome barriers in adaptation. Adaptation to the norms to lower tension is through communication that leads to mutual help and mutual respect for differences of students who have disorders. The most significant process of social adaptation to the changed circumstances is changes in friends in perceived social adaptation process. SMP Inklusi TPA Jember has given a space to the disabled and non-disabled students in adaptation
