In the rainy season the river water flow is higher than the dry season. The high discharge can cause flood. Flood are the factor that affect the degradation of water quality at the Bedadung river. Clean water supply company in Jember is PDAM. Unit Tegal Gede is one of water treatment installation owned by PDAM Jember. This research aimed to determine the optimum coagulant dosage and standard curves coagulant dosage of alum in water treatment at Unit Tegal Gede PDAM during the rainy season. Variables tested include temperature, pH, and turbidity. Determination dosage of alum used 3 methods namely dosage that used at PDAM Jember, trial and error, and the coagulation floculation procesess. The results of the efficiency decrease at each V a r i a b l e s indicates that turbidity value the most influential to the optimum coagulant dosage. To obtain the value of turbidity and a dosage of optimum processed using a regression equation. The resulting equations the morning was Y = 0.740X + 30.41 with R2 = 0.950 and the afternoon was Y = 0.732X + 30.49 with R2 = 0.980.en_US
