dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the energy requirements in the processing of paddy soil using hand tractors. This research was conducted in the village Rambigundam, District Rambipuji, Jember. Sampling method in this research is to use the method of purposive sampling is a method of using certain considerations include amount of respondents, age of the respondents. This study aimed to examine the needs of solar energy during the processing of paddy land in the village Rambigundam. In soil tillage energy requirements include biological energy, fuels energy and energy tractors. 5 plots of land sought energy value obtained an average of 0.208 biological energy needs Mj / ha, while the fuel energy needs that is 632.940 Mj / ha and used tractor energy needs of 17.574 MJ / ha. The total of the energy needs for 5 plots is 2,075 MJ / ha for biological energy, 6329.401 Mj / ha for fuels energy and 175.739 Mj / ha for the energy needs of the tractoren_US
