Dry leaves and sawdust is a waste trash in a very large number. However, dry leaves and sawdust could be one of alternatives of burning material by turning it into briquette. This research aims to know the characteristics of the briquette’s burning and to decide the best material’s composition of the briquette to boil water 1kg faster. The result of the research shows that in drying process of briquette which is done for six days under the sun shine shows that the lowest level of water is on treatment 5 (5,08%). The lowest rate of burning are on treatment 1 and treatment 3 that (0,0054% g/s). Treatment 2 produces the lowest dust level ( 22,1% ) on briquitte burning proses. Treatment 5 produces the highest average burning temperature and water temperature (which is boiled in a pot) that reach 141,26 °C and 51,30°C. Meanwhile the amount of energy in treatment 4 is the best quality because produces the highest heat (145320 J) and it can boilling 1 kg of water quicklyen_US
