dc.description.abstractThis research was conducted in the laboratory of Tools and Machine Agricultural engineering , Agricultural Engineering Department Faculty of Agriculture University of Jember in June - September 2014. This study aims to get the best composition in the manufacture of briquettes from a mixture of cow dung and rice husk. This research was conducted with 5 variations of materials ratio of cow feces and rice husk 20: 80, 40: 60, 50: 50, 60: 40 and 80: 20 with 3 replications. The results showed that the best briquettes contained in the composition of cow feces and rice husk is 20:80 with highest temperature of briquetetes 126.7 0C, able to boil a water reaches water temperature is 91.33 0C. Characteristic value of each treatment briquette composition shows raw material rice husk able to increase the amount of energy, briquettes temperature, and the temperature of the water in the pan and is able to lower the water content bariketen_US
