dc.description.abstractIndonesia is one of the largest latex producing countries internationally and has the potential for the largest land area in the world. However, this is not matched by high productivity. Appropriate treatment tapping system and the use of good tools is expected to produce a high output and quality. Therefore, it is necessary to modify the mechanical spring rubber tapping tool according to the method leads SKB (Tapping into Direction Down) and work capacity and quality testing tools work then compared with previous studies. Modification of rubber tapping tool semi mechanical work done by the parameters capacity and quality of work. The results showed that the semi-mechanical rubber tapping tool with a modified 4 blades (cutting speed = 38.66 seconds and the average path length = 42.66 cm) performance is less optimal than 6 blade modification ( cutting speed = 30.33 sec and the average path length = 42.66 cm). When compared with previous studies cutting speed 100.66 seconds and the average path length of 32.33 cm. In addition, semi-mechanical rubber tapping tool is optimal in maintaining the depth and thickness of the lead with an average depth of lead reached <1.5 mm and a thickness of 2.5 mm.en_US
