INTERFERENSI BAHASA INDONESIA TERHADAP BAHASA JAWA DALAM BERITA POJOK KAMPUNG JTV: SUATU KAJIAN SOSIOLINGUISTIK THE LINGUISTIC INTERFERENCE OF INDONESIAN TO JAVANESE IN POJOK KAMPUNG NEWS IN JTV: A STUDY OF SOCIOLINGISTIC

Abstract

This research aimed to describe various forms of interference of Indonesian to Javanese language on Pojok Kampung (BJPK) news program covering lexical and grammatical areas as well as to describe the factors which influenced the occurrence of interference of Indonesian to Javanese language on Pojok Kampus news program. The research used qualitative method. Data collection included direct/participatory observation, in-depth interview and document or archive collection. The data analysis included three steps i.e. data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal/verification. Further data analysis used comparative method and distributional method. The results showed that the interference of Indonesian to Javanese language on Pojok Kampung news program occurred in lexical field including singular and complex forms as well as grammatical field covering morphological and syntactic forms. Interference of Indonesian to Javanese language on Pojok Kampung news program on JTV occurred due to several factors, among others, language contact between Indonesian and Javanese language of Surabaya Dialect, the writer’s lack of carefulness in writing the script of Pojok Kampung News Program on JTV, the interference of habit in using Indonesian language, and lack of Javanese vocabulary of Surabaya dialect to represent the concepts to be conveyed by Pojok Kampung news program on JTV.
