Abstract: Guided inquiry model with concept map technique is one alternative that encourages students to be active in learning, which emphasizes the understanding of science concepts that make students learning more meaningful. The purpose of this research was to analyze: (1) the effect of guided inquiry model of concept map technique on the students’ scientific attitude (2) the effect of the guided inquiry model with concept map technique on learning achievement. This research was an experimental research, conducted at MTsN 2 Jember in academic year 2013/2014. The samples were selected by cluster random sampling. The samples in this research were from class VIID the experimental class and those from class VIIE as control class. Data collection instruments were questionnaires (students’ scientific attitude) and post-test (learning achievement) analyzed using independent sample t-test by SPSS. From the data analysis, it can be concluded: 1) there was an effect of guided inquiry model with concept map technique on scientific attitude, with smaller significance level of 0.05 (0.0005 < 0.05; H0 was rejected). 2) There was an effect of guided inquiry model with concept map technique on learning achievement, with smaller significance level of 0.05 (0.045 < 0.05; H0 was rejected).
