Abstract: | A textbook lesson is one of learning and media sources that are used by the teacher in the learning process. A very dominant in its role as a source of learning, textbooks compiled and adapted to the standards of competence as well as consideration of aspects of cognitive and developmental abilities or kebahasan students. This research is a descriptive study of qualitative data collection Techniques, using in-depth interviews, observation, and study the documents. The results showed that the textbook has an important meaning for teachers. (1) criteria for the selection of the first text book based on the relevance of the material contained in the textbook with the structure of the curriculum. The next criteria is seen from the completeness of the content, number of illustrations, and various exercises and evaluation. (2) the study of the history, types of utilization of textbook in SMA Negeri 2 Probolinggo, namely the utilization of text books their students have textbooks (3) implementation of a learning history at SMA Negeri 2 Probolinggo, the utilization of the textbook very exert influence on the development of students at the school including; students more actively in the process of learning history, makes it easier for teachers in the process of assessment of student learning, enrich/deepening material about an event of history in textbooks history subjects. |
