PERANAN HARUN AL-RASYID DALAM KEKHALIFAHAN ABBASIYAH

Abstract

Harun al-Rashid is one of the figures who are leaders in the Abbasid rule, a dynasty that grows and develops Umayyad dynasty after dynasty collapsed in 750. Abbasid caliphate Islamic ruling is in Baghdad. Harun al-Rashid also a caliph who is able to develop a comprehensive Abbasid dynasty in the administration component. In developing the Abbasid caliphate of Harun al-Rashid was able to lay the foundations and principles firmly as in the political, economic, social so as to create good cooperation between the components of government and society. Harun al-Rashid in addition to well-known as a caliph who loves to love science. However in the reign of the most prominent thing is that in the field of science. Love of the caliphs to the knowledge of the people were very supportive even very interested and have an important role. This suggest that the Abbasid dynasty emphasis on the development of civilization and Islamic culture. The purpose of this study was to analyze more deeply about the role of Harun al-Rashid in the Abbasid caliphate in 786 – 809. this type of research is the study of history with historical research methods.
