Abstract: The student capabilities of mathematical communication and reasoning become an interesting problem in the last few years. A routine problem solver is considered to be insufficient for students to persue the next education level. Apart of being a problem solver, the students also are required to have both those capabilities. Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) is an instrument to assess the students' mathematical literacy especially related to mathematical communication and reasoning abilities of students. Many efforts which have been spent by a country that joins this program to increase its PISA scores. This article studies the percentage of mathematical communication and reasoning abilities indicators in the PISA questions of change and relationship content.
