Abstract: | Anxiety is the confusion, fear to something will happen which is caused by something which not clear and related by uncertain feeling and powerless. At the preface study at RSD dr Soebendi Jember in May 2010, the researcher got information that 80% pre operation patient get the anxiety. Because of pre operation anxiety can give the bad effect to patient, so it needs something do to reducing that anxiety, which called deep breathing relaxation technique. The aim of this research is to know the effect of giving deep breathing relaxation technique to the level of anxiety of pre operation patient in medical room at RSD dr Soebandi Jember. This research is Pre experimental with the research design one group pre test and post test. The population of this research are all pre operation patient in medical room RSD dr Soebandi for Oktober 2010. Sampling technique of this research is quota sampling with the total smpling are 30 people. The analysis use statistic non parametric, is called Wilcoxon. Based from the result of wilcoxon signed ranks test, got p value 0,0001. P< (0,0001<0,05),it means there is effect of giving deep breathing relaxation technique to the level of anxiety of pre operation patient in medical roomat RSD dr Soebandi., so researcher hopes that deep breathing can be used to reduce the level of anxiety |
