EFEK SUPLAI NITROGEN TERHADAP HASIL, KANDUNGAN NITRAT JARINGAN TANAMAN SELADA (Lactuca sativa L.) DAN RESIDU N-MINERAL DALAM TANAH

Abstract

The objectives of the research is to study effect of nitrogen supplay on yield, nitrate contennt of harvest material, an N-mineral residue in the soil after harvesting of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L). The experiment was conducted in Jember at 370 above sea level. RCBD was used with six nitrogen levels (44; 49; 55; 61; 67 and 72 kg N/ha) and four replicatins. Samples of growth and leaf were taken 10. 17. 24 and 28 days after transplanting. Yield was affected by nitrogen supplay and the highest weight reached by 67 kg N/ha. Nitrate content of leaf and N-mineral residue were positive correlated with nitrogen supplay and highest nitrate content showed by nitrogen supplay of 72 kg N/ha but still under hazard level.
