KEUNTUNGAN INDONESIA DENGAN ADANYA KERJASAMA EKONOMI AKFTA

Abstract

Currently most of the countries in the world have argued that free trade is a policy that they should make as the way to prosperity. The same thing is practiced by countries in Southeast Asia; the regional norms of free trade are attempted by Southeast Asian countries who are members of the regional organization of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to realize soon through various partnership agreements. One of the cooperation engaged by ASEAN in order to realize the free trade is that with South Korea. The cooperation is then known as ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Area (AKFTA). Like other economic cooperation that attempts to realize free trade, cooperation, AKFTA coopetaion aims to facilitate the flow of goods and capital. This cooperation runs international trade principles promoted by the global trade regime of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
