STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN KLASTER PETERNAKAN SAPI PERAH YANG IDEAL DI KECAMATAN SUMBERBARU KABUPATEN JEMBER TAHUN 2013

Abstract

Research on "Cluster Development Strategy of the Ideal Dairy Farm In District Sumberbaru Jember Regency in 2013" is a descriptive quantitative research using primary data and secondary data. The purpose of this study was to identify the cluster models and development strategies of the dairy farm in District Sumberbaru. The analysis used in this study is a descriptive analysis, cluster analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of cluster analysis showed a dairy farm in the District Sumberbaru potential to be developed. There are two villages with high potential to develop a dairy farm. In the highlands of the most potentially Jambesari village, and the village of Karang Bayat for lowland areas. Other villages have a lower potential capacity. Two potential villages may be a priority for development in the short term as the early stages of development clustering dairy farm. The results of SWOT analysis shows dairy farm in District Sumberbaru can be developed or enhanced with strategies for improving productivity and capacity development through investment. This strategy can be done by providing additional capital for cattle breeders to increase the number of dairy farm and milk production has also increased.
