dc.description.abstract | The pesticide utilization at chili plant which less regard dosage or consentration ang frequency arrangement can cause human health and ecology effect seriously. The objective of this research is to identify pecticide utilization and health complaint at chili plant which is done by farmer in the center of chili district in Jember Regency. The sample collection was conducted by purposive sampling. Total of respondent was 50 chili farmer. The data collected at February –March 2011. Descriptive analysis is used to analyse them.The result of this research show that 80 % chili farmer have used chemical pesticide, 50 % chili farmer have used pesticide in more than 10 years, 42 % chili farmer have sprayed pesticide more than twice in a week, 46 % chili farmer have sprayed more than 3 hours in a day, and 96 % of them have been guided by wind direction. A lot of them (90%) of chili farmer have encountered health complaint after using pesticide. | en_US |
