Abstract: Typhoid fever is a common disease suffered by people of Indonesia. The number of patients with this disease tends to increase and expand. Typhoid fever is caused by food and drink contaminated by Salmonella bacteria. In this paper, a case study was conducted in Jember. There are many humans infected by typhoid fever in Jember each year. These problems can be modeled mathematically. The suitable model is a model of the epidemic. Therefore, this paper used SEIS epidemic models. SEIS epidemic model is useful to determine the disease-free equilibrium point, the endemic equilibrium point and the basic reproduction number. In addition, an analysis was conducted on the model of typhoid fever epidemic. The results obtained for the case study in Jember is a model of typhoid fever epidemic, the basic reproduction number ( = 2,03 ) ;the disease-free equilibrium 0 0 = ( 2.334.597,876; 0; 0 ) and endemic equilibrium point = 1.152.204,03;441.790,21;740.603,63.
