Abstract: This research is a class action that aims to improve students' learning skills and independence by using the accurate accounting application of computer accounting program in the class XI IPS 2 MAN Jember 1, accounting subjects with the understanding of the accounting cycle of services company in academic year of 2011 / 2012 standard competency. The subjects studied were students of class XI IPS 2, amounting to 42 students and teacher of Accountancy subjects in the class Social XI. Data collection methods used include observation, interviews, and documentations. The data analysis method used is descriptive method with qualitative approach that is trying to describe the data obtained from the implementation of the action on the field. Collected data consist of (1) the observation of students' skills and independence as well as the activities of the teacher during the lesson, (2) the results of the interview. The research was carried out through two cycles, each of them has 4 stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the learning skills of students of class XI IPS 2 MAN Jember 1 increased from low to high, as well as independent study students increased from low to high.
