dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research develop the teaching materials design of physics in the form of comics to increase motivation and understanding of the physics concept of Junior High School. The teaching materials design of physics in the form of comics includes learning material and student work sheet. The teaching materials design of physics in the form of comics has been gotten validation with a valid category by 3 logic validator. The result of validation explains that the teaching materials design of physics in the form of comics can be used in physics instruction to develop motivation and understanding of the physics concept of Junior High School. The results of restriction test of students in SMP Negeri 1 Jember show that students are very motivating and very understanding after learning to use instructional materials physics in the form of comics. Students' motivation is classical for 89.93%. Understanding the concept of classical students of 92.08%. Students didn’t get any difficulty to use the teaching materials design of physics in the form of comics in physics learning process.en_US
