Abstract: Interactive learning based on the concept is learning model with priority given to self-mastery concept by the students and emphasizes the students’ role and teacher’s role in creating interactive and educative situations in teaching and learning process. This model has a featured key which focused on understanding the concept, using demonstration, collaboration in small groups and prioritize classroom interaction or discussion. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes through the application of interactive learning model based on the concept of Physics learning grade VIII-A at MTs Negeri 1 Jember in 2012/2013. This study is a research class action (PTK). Data collection method in this study is using observation, documentation, interviews and tests. Data analysis is using quantitative analysis based on the post-test to monitoring representation development of verbal, mathematical, and image analysis of N-gain. Students learning outcomes related to increase the representation of verbal, mathematical, and image.Verbal representation increased from 0.45 to 0.62 (medium category), mathematical representation of 0.33 to 0.57 (medium category), an image representation of 0, 61 to 0.66 (medium category).
