Pegagan (Centella asiatica [L.] Urban) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang dimafaatkan untuk reproduksi. Pegagan mengandung sejumlah bahan aktif golongan triterpenoid yang diduga mampu mempengaruhi organ-organ reproduksi betina, termasuk perkembangan sel telur. Bahan aktif tersebut diduga mampu melindungi sesel granulosa yang selanjutnya berpengaruh pada kualitas sel telur. Pegagan juga mengandung asam amino dan antioksidan serta garam-garam mineran seperti seng, besi, kalsium, tembaga, vitamin E, B, C, K semuanya penting untuk perkembangan fetus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun pegagan (Centella asiatica [L.] Urban) terhadap peningkatan produktivitas mencit (Mus musculus L.) Strain Balb-C dan untuk menganalisis dosis ekstrak daun pegagan (Centella asiatica [L.] Urban) yang efektif terhadap peningkatan produktivitas mencit (Mus musculus L.) Strain Balb-C. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Biomedik dan Histologi Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Jember pada bulan April sampai Juli 2011. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mencit betina (Mus musculus L.) Strain Balb-C yang diperoleh dari Laboraturium Biomedik Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Jember. Sampel Peneitian diambil secara acak (random) dari populasi dengan kriteria sebagai berikut: mencit (Mus musculus L.) Strain Balb-C, umur 3-4 bulan, jenis kelamin betina dan jantan, berat badan 28-32 gram, kondisi fisik sehat dan tidak tampak cacat anatomi.

Abstract

Curriculum and teaching and learning process have an important role in education. Curriculum is a set of designs and rules concerning objectives, contents, instructional materials, and ways used as guideline in doing learning activities to achieve certain educational system. On the other hand, the teacher who is doing the curriculum in the classroom for teaching and learning process should be able to do learning activities based on the curriculum. Based on School Based Curriculum, learning materials deal with the teaching materials that are given by the teacher covered four language skills and three language components. The English teacher can take the materials from the textbooks, internet, brochures, newspapers, advertisements and many others that are written in English. The materials which are taken from the English textbooks should be selected whether their materials are relevant to the curriculum or not. Therefore the English textbooks have to be analyzed comprehensively before the teacher selects and uses them in teaching and learning process in the school.
