Abstract: Pregnant women use medicinal products in order to threat chronic or common complaints during pregnancy, such as nausea-vomiting, pain, constipation and other gastrointestinal disorders. The belief that not to take all drugs during pregnancy to avoid the teratogenic effects is unrealistic. In some clinical cases, without drug therapy, pregnant women with gestational diabetic, asthma, epilepsy, or other chronic diseases may have high risks, as uncontrolled maternal condition may adversely affect both the mother and her fetus. In fact, the treatment using medicinal products is necessary to achieve optimal condition for fetus to growth. However, the drugs, especially the teratogenic ones can cause congenital malformation. Then, it is very important for Pharmacist, as drug information professionals have to know the benefit and risk of medicines used during pregnancy. Finally, many considerations should be taken to minimize or even to prevent the serious fetal or maternal risks..
