dc.description.abstract | Diarrhea is still becoming important health problem in the world today. Diarrhea caused 2.16 million deaths per year in worldwide. Infectious diarrhea is caused by virus, bacteria and parasite. In Indonesia, infectious diarrhea is caused mostly by Escherichia coli (E.coli). The major problem in infectious diarrheal therapy is antibiotic resistance. Ethanolic extract of Bangle (Zingiber cassumunar Roxb.) has shown good potency on E.coli. TLC bioautographic assay was performed on ethanolic extract of Bangle against E.coli culture. The result has revealed that terpenoids has growth inhibition zone with diameter 1,311 +- 0,002 cm. | en_US |
