FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI NON RELEASE FROM TREATMENT PENDERITA KUSTA TIPE MULTI BASSILER DI KECAMATAN JENGGAWAH KABUPATEN JEMBER TAHUN 2008

Abstract

Leprosy is a health problem in Indonesia that brings an impact only medically, but also socially, economically, and psychologically. In 2008, in Jenggawah Subdistric, there were 27 cases of MB type leprosy found with the Release From Treatment of 86,2 %. The rate still not met the minimal standard of health service more than 90% in 2010. The research used a case control design with the total population of 27 patients. The goal of the research was to know the predominant effect to Non Release From Treatment of MB type leprosy patient. The statistical analysis used statistic descriptif. The result showed that some factors that influenced Non Release From Treatment of MB type leprosy patient were internal factors such as age (OR=0,15), job (OR=0,31) and attitude (OR=4); external factors such as the support from the family (OR=1,8) and the way to the public health (OR=0,63). According to the results of this research, known that require to increase health worker’s performance by providing health worker’s motivation, incentive, and improvement the ability with countinously training and increase counselling about leprosy according to the socio cultural of the community with entangle religion figure and use Madura language.
