dc.description.abstractIodium deficiency syndrome is seriously problem. This syndrome can affect the growth of body that is cretinism. The characterized of cretinism are mentally disorder, delayed bone and tooth growth, and motoric function disorder. Tooth eruption disorder causes the evidence of malocclusion, chewing, speech, and esthetic disorder. The purpose of the study is identify the eruption of permanent incisive on patients who have iodium deficiency syndrome. This study is observational cross-sectional. The subject of the study are the students of elementary school in Puger district, Jember regency. The area was divided into three areas. The examination of tooth eruption was conducted by study that is the eruption of tooth which has been erupted below 3 mm onto gingival margin from incisal edge. Data was analyzed using t-test. The result of the study showed that, the eruption of permanent incisive on children who have iodium deficiency syndrome were later significantly than that of normal children.en_US
