The statistical analysis was applied to identify the regional differences in flood awareness and attitudes. Results showed that community awareness significantly different between flooding and on-flooding areas. There was uniqueness on the awareness as its level corresponds to the flood experiences, gender, education and income. It could increase automatically as respondents recognized the risk of living in flood-prone areas. The most significant variables affering their awareness and attitudes were sex (gender), living experiences and education. It is suggested that different approach to increase the awareness should be considered on each area for the effective results.
