Abstract: This study focuses on EFL teachers’ strategies to help students cope with their anxiety about speaking English. According to the teachers’ strategies framework, Nurfadhilah et al. (2022) investigated teachers’ perceptions of effective strategies for reducing student anxiety in learning to speak English. A qualitative case study was used to find out teachers' strategies for coping with student speaking anxiety about English in the EFL classroom. The data from the observation classroom was analyzed using content analysis. Interviews with the teachers were also employed to enrich the data. In this case, teachers’ strategies used variation strategies to cope with student speaking anxiety. Based on my research findings, the strategy used can reduce anxiety and help overcome students' speaking anxiety in EFL classrooms. In the teaching process, teachers must make students enjoy and be interested in the class. The teacher can help students who are anxious in the learning process by applying the right strategy. These show that teachers can help students reduce speaking anxiety in the EFL classroom.
