Abstract: Peace values are principles, beliefs, or norms that support the creation of a peaceful atmosphere in various aspects of life. Peace values are very important to teach in the world of education and ELT textbooks are one of the effective media to transfer these values. Since the implementation of the Emancipated Curriculum, schools have been encouraged to use textbooks provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology. However, there has been no Indonesian or foreign research that specifically examines peace values in English textbooks for Junior High Schools. In addition, most of the ELT textbooks analyzed still use Curriculum 13 even though currently in Indonesia it has changed to the Emancipated Curriculum. Therefore, this study was conducted to improve previous studies and also to analyze what peace values are contained in English textbooks for Junior High Schools, one of the English textbooks recommended by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology. Furthermore, Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) by Fairclough (2013) was chosen as the analysis method in examining the representation of peace values through visual materials. After that, this study found that there are three basic sources of peace values, namely inner peace, social peace, and peace with nature.
