Abstract: Robusta coffee processing at PT Perkebunan Nusantara I Regional 5 Afdeling Rayap Jember is conducted through the wet process. This process involves plantation, transportation, and production stages that have significant potential environmental impacts. This research aims to analyze environmental impacts through the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach with system boundaries from the fertilizer-pest control to the storage. The environmental impacts analyzed include climate change, terrestrial acidification, and freshwater eutrophication. The method used in this research is manual calculation based on the emission factor value from The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and validation using SimaPro 9.5.0.2 software with the IMPACT World+ method. The function unit equals 1 ton of robusta coffee bean products. Inventory data includes the mass of fertilizer, B30 diesel fuel, clean water, and electrical energy in each production process unit. The results of the LCIA consecutively were 158,15 kgCO2eq/ton product, 0,15 kgSO2eq/ton product, and 0,71 kgPO4eq/ton product. The proposed improvement strategies include optimizing fertilizer use, the installation of solar panels, and implementing a buffer zone at the outlet of the WWTP. These strategy recommendations are expected to significantly reduce environmental impacts and improve the sustainability of robusta coffee production at PTPN I Regional 5.
