Gastropods are macrobenthos that have habitat types that vary from terrestrial and aquatic environments. Gastropod habitats are very diverse and can live in various types of bottom water substrates, such as gravel, sand, rocks, aquatic plants and plant roots. Gastropods have a broad tolerance to different environmental conditions and affect distribution patterns and have an impact on the quality of the water environment, so they can be used as bioindicators of waters in their habitat environment. This research was conducted in the central part of the watershed (DAS) Bendo Banyuwangi which has diverse ecosystem characteristics, namely plantation areas, settlements, waterfall tours and rice fields. Based on the identification results found 8 species of gastropods from 6 families with a total of 147 individuals, namely Tarebia granifera, Thiara scabra, Melanoides tuberculata, Sulcospira testudinaria, Anentome helena, Radix rubiginosa, Physa fontinalis and Indoplanorbis exustus. Based on the calculation of the ShannonWienner diversity index, the results obtained are 1.596 or (1<H'<3) ranging from 1-3, which indicates that the diversity of freshwater gastropods in the Bendo Banyuwangi watershed is in the moderate categoryen_US
