Abstract: Pulmonary tuberculosis is a progressive infectious disease that still occurs in many children in Indonesia. One of the factors causing tuberculosis is the low socioeconomic status of parents and the slum environment. As a result of the disease and treatment of tuberculosis, it can cause disorders that occur in all aspects of the child's quality of life. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parents' socioeconomic status and the quality of life of children with pulmonary tuberculosis. The method used in this study was descriptive-analytic with a cross-sectional approach. Three constructs of family socioeconomic status were analyzed in this study, namely parents' education level, parents' occupation, and parents' income per month. 107 children with pulmonary TB aged 2–18 years were involved in this study. The results obtained showed that children with pulmonary TB were found to occur mostly in toddlers with an age range of 1-2 years, 65 (60.7%), and most of the sufferers were boys, 59 (55.1%). Additionally, it was discovered that, at 59 (%), the majority of parents whose children had pulmonary tuberculosis had an adequate socioeconomic status. Furthermore, the majority of children with pulmonary tuberculosis up to 100, or (93.4%) had an excellent quality of life, according to the identification results. This conclusion might arise from the fact that, although quality of life is fairly broad, the quality of life domain employed in this study was restricted to the physical, emotional, social, and educational domains. In the bivariate analysis with the Spearman rank test statistically, the p-value is 0.329, so if the p value > 0.05, then H0 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between socioeconomic status and the quality of life of children with pulmonary TB.
