Abstract: The teaching and learning process was a place emotional involvement. In recent years, research on the emotions experienced by pre-service English teachers has largely focused on higher education and high school. The purpose of this study was to find out emotional variations during teaching practicum in the junior high school. I used Pekrun (2014) regarding academic of emotion, namely arousal (activating and deactivating) and valence (positive and negative). Furthermore, this research used Self-study as a research design that focused on the emotional variation during teaching learning process. The research was conducted using Braun & Clarke (2006) thematic analysis method in analyzing data. The findings showed that there were 116 emotions representing 2 groups (activating & deactivating) which were divided into each groups (positive & negative). There were 64 emotions activating positive, 25 emotions activating negative, 15 deactivating positive, and 12 deactivating negative. This showed that the activating positive emotions were more dominant compared to other group emotions.
