dc.description.abstractStudents who choose to study in college must choose their university and program of study. The number of competitors entering college has caused a psychosocial response for the participants who took part in the selection. These demands can have positive or negative impacts on students' lives so that they give rise to psychosocial responses. This study aims to describe the psychosocial responses of students in facing college entrance exams. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The sample for this research is students who will continue on to college. There are 150 students who will continue on to higher education. The research instrument, namely the Self Reporting Questionnaire 29, is a questionnaire created by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a tool to measure mental health problems. The data analysis used is univariate analysis which describes the data that has been obtained from respondents in general. The results of this study indicate that for the biggest disturbances experienced by students, namely psychological disorders accompanied by PTSD, which is 42.6% with a total of 64 students, then for Psychological Disorders it is 35.3% with a total of 53 students and PTSD disorders is 22.1% with a total of 33 students. For psychoactive use and psychotic disorders were not found in students at the high school. Psychosocial responses to students are influenced by several factors, one of which is social support. Social support is very effective in reducing psychological distress, such as depression or anxiety. This is of course in accordance with this research which certainly explores the psychosocial problems experienced by high school students who are going to state universities.en_US
