Krompol Village as the empirical setting of this research is one of the villages located in Bringin Subdistrict, Ngawi Regency. Just like other villages that continue to experience changes in line with the development of society, Krompol Village shows changes in the social character of its residents, namely the emergence of an individualist attitude among villagers due to changes in the occupational structure of villagers. In the midst of the changes that have occurred in the villagers, there is a rewang tradition that can still be maintained and is able to bind relations between individual villagers. The rewang tradition is a tradition of providing assistance in the form of labor and materials carried out in the implementation of wedding rites in Javanese society. In this case, Krompol Village is seen as a social reproduction space in which there are various arenas, and the rewang tradition is one of the cultural production arenas. The purpose of this study is to analyze the rewang tradition as part of the social reproduction carried out in the Javanese wedding rite in Krompol Village. This research uses a phenomenological approach with a generative structuralism methodology. The informants in the study were villagers who were selected by purposive method. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation which were then analyzed in tandem through the process of data collection, data interpretation, data reduction, and writing findings. The results showed that the rewang tradition is part of social reproduction that produces cultural production that is able to bind relations between individual villagers and is able to maintain what is inherited. In its implementation, rewang produces cultural economic value through gifts that are not only made by people who attend rewang, but also by the owner of the event. This cultural economic value is a cultural product that then makes rewang able to bind relations between individual villagers.en_US
