Abstract: The Coffee-based agroforestry is a form of land conservation that can be done. The success of conservation efforts can be seen through the diversity of butterflies that exist in a land, because butterflies are one of the bioindicator agents that are vulnerable to changes in environmental conditions. This study aims to determine the diversity of butterflies in coffee-based agroforestry in Rowosari Village, Sumberjambe District, Jember Regency. This research was conducted on simple agroforestry and complex agroforestry using 2 sampling methods, namely bait traps and sweepnets. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Importance Value Index (INP), Species Diversity Index (H'), Bray-Curtis Similarity Index (BC), Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, and Mann Whitney U non-parametric differential test. The conclusion obtained was butterfly diversity. Butterflies in simple agroforestry and complex agroforestry are different. The index value of butterfly diversity using bait traps in simple agroforestry locations (H'= 2.140) was higher than complex agroforestry (H'= 1.766). The index value of butterfly diversity using a sweepnet in simple agroforestry locations (H'= 1.819) was lower than complex agroforestry (H'= 2.221).
