Abstract: Butterflies have an important role in the ecosystem as a component in the pollination process. The presence of butterflies as pollinators can help maintain natural plant propagation and bioindicators of changes in the quality of an environment. The Garahan RPH area is a habitat favored by butterflies. The purpose of this study was to determine the structure of the butterfly community in the RPH Garahan area. The study was conducted from December 2022 to February 2023. The method of determining the location of the study using purposive sampling. Sampling using the roaming method with sweeping techniques. Sampling was carried out at 10 points, points 1 to 5 were pine forest areas, while points 6 to 10 were forest areas. The results showed that 297 individuals from 25 species from 3 families were found. The most commonly found species was Ypthima horsfieldii. The values of the diversity index was moderate, the similarity index was high, the evenness index was high, the dominance index was high, and the relative abundance index was moderate. Abiotic factors in the RPH Garahan area consist of light intensity, temperature, wind speed, and air humidity that are suitable for butterfly life.
