Abstract: Background: Malnutrition is still a nutritional problem that needs special attention. Malnutrition can cause disruptions in physical growth, mental development, and intelligence when toddlers grow up, the worst impact can result in death. Objective: To describe parenting and personal hygiene for severely malnourished toddlers aged 6-24 months at the Puskesmas Banyuanyar, Probolinggo Regency. Methods: This study used a descriptive research type that aims to describe the parenting and personal hygiene of malnourished toddlers aged 6-24 months, according to the month of weighing Agust-February 2023. Data were obtained through interviews and direct observation of mothers who had severely malnourished toddlers aged 6-24 months. Interviews were conducted using questionnaires, and obsevations were made by looking at the KMS (Health Card) book. Results: Most of the mothers with malnutrition under five in the working area of the Puskesmas Banyuanyar, Probolinggo Regecy The parenting style of mothers with malnutrition under five was poor (73.07%), while for personal hygiene, the majority of mothers had poor personal hygiene (57.70%). Conclusion: Malnourished mothers with poor parenting have a history of giving colostrum, a history of exclusive breastfeeding, a history of breastfeeding duration, and a history of giving MP-ASI. And having poor personal hygiene is not good for caring for toddlers, especially for the mother's personal hygiene.
