Abstract: Bones are structures that control body movement and supply calcium in the blood. Bone health is an important aspect that needs to be considered today. One of the big impacts felt by society today is bone disease caused by fractures. Research on natural compounds from medicinal plants as supporting agents for fracture recovery treatment via osteoblasts and osteoclasts has begun to be widely carried out. In this research, a systematic mapping review method was carried out using Prisma (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Protocols) 2020. The stages used were from screening to inclusion, resulting in 60 pieces of literature that were included in the feasibility stage of data extraction on Google Spreadsheet. The measurement of osteoblast differentiation value is based on the increase in ALP activity, while that of osteoclasts is based on RANKL (Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor-Kappa B Ligand) which indicates osteoclast differentiation. The results obtained were that there were 33 families and 60 species that had osteogenesis activity. and there are 3 families, namely apiaceae, euphorbiaceae and fabaceae which have potent compounds, namely osthole from the species A.pubescens and C.monnieri; adenosine, bryzantionoside b, dalbergiodin and apigenin from the species U. crinita; routine, an isolate compound from the C. tinctoria species that can increase osteoblast differentiation. Meanwhile, the isolation compound decursin from the species B.chinense; (2S)-2'-Methoxycurarinone (MK), an isolated compound from the S.flavescens species, showed potent osteoclast inhibitory activity.
