Abstract: Vocabulary is important for both Foreign Language and Second Language students. It is because in language learning, vocabulary is not just a word but an understanding in communicating and processing information based on the surrounding environment, as well as being a benchmark for literacy skills and becoming mandatory for learning language learning, in vocabulary a word can present a variety of information and ideas, but the meaning can be different based on the understanding and how much knowledge a person has in their mind. Students tend to think that vocabulary has no practical use in their lives and they are not interested in learning English because it is not used in everyday life. This problem arises because vocabulary learning is not attractive, students always focus on the teacher to learn and understand vocabulary. but this can be overcome by using technology in the classroom, especially Kahoot!. This research aims to find out the effects of the Kahoot! In the classroom. Using the Pre-Experiment research one group Pre-test and Post-test using 30 samples of students using convenience sampling. Using 20 pre-test questions before treatment and using 20 post-test questions after treatment as a determinant of whether Kahoot! Effect on students. Overall, this study uses the Normality test, independent t-test and Effect size test to analyze the data obtained. The results show that the use of Kahoot! In class it has a strong effect in increasing vocabulary achievement, from the data analysis the normality test shows that it is normally distributed with the results of the data above the value of α = 0.05. the independent t-test shows that the data is below the number α = 0.05 (5%) which indicates a difference between the results of the pre-test and post-test. Then in the effect size test you get a number of 1.1 which shows that there is a strong effect with the use of Kahoot!. The conclusion that the use of Kahoot! In students’ vocabulary learning shows a strong effect on learning in the classroom.
