Abstract: | This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with video media on Higher Order Thinking Skills in grade V students of SDN Kebonsari 01 Jember. This study falls under the category of quantitative research. The subject of his research was a grade V student of SDN Kebonsari 01 Jember. The population is 29 VA class students and 28 VB class students. Techniques for gathering data include tests, documentation, and interviews. This study employed a quantitative analysis technique as its analytical method. Use of pretest and posttest questions to measure the success of the problem-based learning paradigm. Pretest is tested before treatment, while posttest is tested after treatment. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with video media affects Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class before being given treatment (pretest) was 66.93, after being given treatment to 80.76. Based on the calculation of Relative Effectiveness (ER), results were obtained of 13.73%. The results showed that the experimental class was 13.73% more effective when compared to the control class. This demonstrates how the PBL paradigm with video media affects students' HOTS. |
