The Forgotten Battle film by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. has the genre of drama, war and it is adapted based on a true story that tells of world war II in 1944. The Forgotten Battle film won the Best Editing category. One of the editing in the film is parallel editing. This film has parallel editing which dominates because it shows the three main characters who have different perspectives to achieve their respective goals, and in the end their goals are the same. This research uses the study of conflict theory and parallel editing to find out which scenes contain conflict, then the conflict is classified according to the type of conflict and is developed through similar editing. The results of the research show that there are several scenes that contain conflict. In the three plots are displayed alternately, with the order of events or chronology that is not sequential. This can make The Forgotten Battle film a film with a multiplot pattern or structure with a nonlinear pattern and a hyperlink cinema type which is very dependent on the parallel editing method.en_US
