dc.description.abstract | The business world is increasingly experiencing high growth. Businesses that cannot keep up with growth well will experience a downfall, but businesses that can keep up with growth well will survive and compete. One business that has a reasonable growth rate in 2023 is the hotel business. A hotel business that wants to be able to progress and compete with other hotel businesses is required to have superior and good human resources, this is because the quality of a hotel is judged by the performance of its employees. The performance of these employees is very important in addition to assessing the quality of a hotel, it is also used to evaluate the performance of its employees so it really needs to be considered by a company. The performance of a company's employees can be influenced by the work environment and job satisfaction. This study aims to explain the effect of work environment and job satisfaction on the performance of Hotel Asri Jember employees. Hotel Asri Jember is a 1-star hotel that until 2023 can survive and compete with star hotels above it. This study uses a quantitative research approach with 34 non-managerial employees as respondents who have worked for 7 months and above and have a fixed salary. Data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires. The results of this study reveal that the work environment and job satisfaction have a significant positive partial and simultaneous effect on the performance of the employees of Hotel Asri Jember.
